MEET THE JOKER: What would the JOKER say?

Every departmental meeting, team meeting, kick-off meeting needs the participants to hear new things, learn new things and understand new things. This does not happen when the leader is talking everyone to sleep. As you know, nobody learns anything when they are bored or have fallen asleep.

Hence this helping hand in the form of a collection of MEETING JOKERS, who create awake and fresh and enterprising employees who are given the opportunity to reflect on what they see, hear and perceive.

The manager must therefore accept that the employees challenge and provoke and twist what they have heard. This does not mean that the decisions must therefore be overturned or annulled. This means that all employees must understand and internalize (take it in) and make the 'news' their own. The manager is also not going to hear everything that is said. But there is nothing new in that. What is not said in the conference room is said at the coffee machine or even later - at home.

The 'news' can be made the employees' own with these tools, which make it possible for everyone to express, discuss, think and review.

Here follows a quick overview of the 10 JOKERs:

1 set of Dialoogle Pocket picture cards: Spread out a number of cards on a table or on the floor and ask everyone to choose 1 card and comment in pairs or in groups. Or ask everyone to choose 2 picture cards - one must express the best of the 'news' and the other must express a weakness of the 'news'. When everyone has spoken to 3 to 7 colleagues, ask for the best thing they heard along the way and write everything down on a flipchart or whiteboard.

1 Meeting Zest Thumball: Throw the ball and read the question aloud under your thumb and answer quickly yourself. Pass the ball forward. Give everyone the right to ask everyone to respond quickly to a particularly topic or important question.

1 set of Coaching Cubes: Choose from 36 coaching questions that can be used for the whole group or in smaller groups or for individual coaching. When more than 1 is coached, pick a question from one of the dice and ask everyone to talk about the question and note down the best ideas. Hear all the best ideas after 7 minutes.

1 set of Story Cubes: Tell your story in small groups based on the pictures of the cubes. For example, make a 'Once upon a time ...' or a 'What I heard was...' story.

1 set of Business Model Architect: Focus on the business, choose your methods. Choose from a single or a couple of Customer Values, Positionings, Price Levels, Experience Cycles, Customers, Customer Relationships, Channels, Resources, Activities, Partnerships, Revenues, Pricing Models and Costs.

1 set of Infinite Dialogue Cards and Recognitions: Complete questions in pairs and get a lot wizer on each other. Accomplish and recognize everyone in the team.

1 set of Change Option: Hold short meetings about the changes you need to make in pairs and at the same time.

1 Conversation Rope: Lay the rope out on the floor (like a horseshoe) and ask everyone to answer a question. One end of rope means A and the other end of rope means B. Between A and B everyone can choose too. Ask everyone to talk in pairs where they stand.

1 Meeting Quiz Working paper: Improve the ideas on 1 working paper, which is passed around the meeting table.

1 set of Team Option: Hold short meetings on many meeting topics in pairs and at the same time.
